As a former third-grade teacher, a mom, an aunt, and a friend to many grandparents, I believe deeply in showing children the magic of carrying a positive message. When kids share kindness and care, they strengthen others—and themselves.

In my story, Sheldon the snail chooses to stay in the light of warmth and goodness, even when surrounded by unhappy sea urchins. His kindness inspires them to follow—and soon, the darkness gives way to light.
